Senior Portraits

Senior year is monumental in the grand scheme of things. It is the perfect time to capture the youth, beauty, and charm of your senior. These years of growing responsibility, independence, and college acceptance should culminate with senior pictures to freeze time and create memories for the future. Janine Weston of Weston Photography will utilize her interpersonal sensitivity during the portraiture session, making your son or daughter feel comfortable with the process, while capturing him or her in a flattering natural light. Pictured here is Maria, a talented young woman radiating with natural beauty in the great outdoors.

Photographing Newborns: Putty In Your Hands

After nine long months of anxious waiting, there is nothing like holding a sleeping newborn in your arms. Pictured here is baby Tycho, at 6 days old. His mother and father were so patient and loving with him. Tycho blessed us with his cooperative nature and sweet spirit. "Newborns are best photographed within the first two weeks of their birth. Their drowsy demeanor makes them 'putty in your hands'--an essential to capturing images of sleepy infants," says Janine Weston of Weston Photography. Janine also recommends scheduling ahead and marking your calendar to set up your newborn portrait session within the first two weeks after your due date.

Weston Photography: The Family Portrait

The family portrait records the evolution of a family. Images of ourselves with our children, grandchildren, parents, and grandparents are certainly among the most valuable we will ever possess. When selecting clothing for your portrait session, consider the following:

*Mid-tone colors look best—not too bright, not too dark
*Select clothing that compliments your skin tone, body form, personality, and environmental backdrop
*Fabrics like eyelet, denim, corduroy, velvet, and lace, add texture to your portrait
*AVOID black, stripes, busy patterns, or other very dark colors
*Select interesting collars, buttons, or other detail near your face
*Coordinate clothing within the group by selecting from a complimentary color palette
